IMO it's a totally dumb and pointless thing to do!!!

Just use engine flush and do it properly

it aint dangerous as petrol is from oil but a bit pointless i not a great lover of engine fl;ushesas it removes a lot of carbon which needs to be there and can end up gunking up the oil pik up imo better to do regular oil changes i do mine every 3 months for wot costs in oil and filter its worth it as i get trade club so it basically pennys

petrol is a good degreaser, but a rubbish lubricant, that's why it can be so damaging when put in diesel car by mistake.

    just change the oil regularly.

you don't want to go loosening debris part way round your oil circuit!

Would imagine the petrol 'flush' would strip back surfaces that need to be covered in oil back to bare metal, how is that going to be beneficial to any engine?
