Brakes squeak on light/medium braking! :(

    Hi guys,

I bought a Astra Copue mark 4 recently and it ad new front discs and pads. But they squeak when i brake lightly, and medium braking. When I brake harder it goes away. I swear it's just the fronts.

What's the problem and what can I do to make it stop!?

Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Could be a stone or grit stuck between pad and disc. Might go away with time.

    My van does it.

It's bit annoying and makes my car sound a bit cheap. How can I get rid of it?

Change your brake pads, or take them off and clean the caliper etc.

... it should go after awhile though.

Thats IF its a stone/grit thats stuck.

Had mine changed recently and they squeak too under same braking. Annoying, but slowly going away.
