    Lost radio code...dealer closed! :(

Im putting my cdr500 back into my astra but I cant find the code or security pass card

Last time I got the code by calling the dealer the car came from and they gave it to me for free over the phone...this time I tried to call them to find that the branch had closed down arggg...I shoulda written it down!

Any idea how I can get the code without getting ripped off for £25?

For reference any Vauxhall dealer can order your car pass and it was £15 when I ordered one for the missus's corsa.

You need a V5 with your name on, chassis number from the car and some form of photo ID to prove you are that person who's on the V5.

Also for reference...If you go to the dealer your car was originally registered at (you can find this by calling Vaux head office)...they will have the radio code on their system for 5 years after the car was registered...and usually will give it to you for free over the phone

(in the case the dealer has closed down i think your pretty much screwed into paying £18+vat or whatever it is)

    http://www.sws-solutions.co.uk/radio_coverage_vauxhall.php

This site will work it out for you if you give them the radios serial code, its £15 so cheaper than going through a vauxhall dealer and you get it instantly!
