    Astra 1.8 SRI

Ok, after going to PVS for the first time i think the time has come to sell up and move on. But i am not moving that far because i am after a 1.8SRI 3dr in Black or Blue, 02 reg onwards no more than 40k miles. So if anyone is selling one im more than interested. Thanks Matt

SXi > 1.8 SRi is hardly moving on, just a few options as standard.

Thats fair enough matt, i know how you feel, i wanted a gsi or sri T a year ago but the insurance wa to high,
Have you tried insurane on a 2 ltr?
From my own personal experience, it didn't cost me much more to insure a 2 ltr compared to a 1.8, infact i think the diffrence was only about £50, it's worth a go

Isn't the only difference leccy mirrors/guaranteed abs and traction control?

Do you feel its really worth it, personally the only 'upgrade' id go to now (owning a 1.8 SXi) is the SRI-t/Coupe turbo, POSSIBLY a 2.2 although they're hardly any better.

The differences depend a little on model year, for example for my 2000 the SRi had the following over the SXi:-
    ABS as standard
    Leather steering wheel
    CDR500 radio/cd instead of CAR400 radio/cassette
    Traction control
    205/50 x16 wheels/tyres instead of 195/60/x15
    Tailgate spoiler

2 litre only made up to 2000, he wants an 02 onwards.
Also 1.8 just as quick to 60mph, top speet of a 2.0 is only 2mph quicker and 1.8 has better fuel economy.
1.8 2 insurance groups less aswell, at 18, the 1.8 is definately gonna be your best option.
