Sell as it sits or Split?

Just after a few peoples thoughts on what you would do in my situation.

Basically need to sell the GSi for more economical car and bank some cash ready to take on the other half of my mortgage.

but should i sell as it sits or split it and return to standard

I know that i will make more money splitting but is it worth the hassle/time/expense?

    Heres the car:

03 GSi, 49k, FVSH, MOT 11 months, TAX 3 months.
Usual GSI spec + full heated leather.

    MODS:

    cooler running plugs
    samco air hose kit
regal hard power pipe with bailey dumpvalve
    K&N panel filter
    veccy c air feed
    bonnet lifters
    irmy rear lights
    irmy grille
    irmy mats
    irmy door pins
    irmy heater rings
    regal pre cat pipe
Stainless steel middle section with SS flexi joint and 200 cell sports cat
    cat back bastuck exhaust
    Eibach sportline 50/30mm springs

All but 2 of the mods are easily swopped and all are easily sold bar the exhaust!

ive had no interest in the exhaust and its the main problem as its the only mod i havnt got the standard replacement for or is easily avalible!

I dont think its worth splitting the rest if i cant change the exhaust!

I have tried to sell the car on here and a few other sites including autotrader for 2 weeks at 8k but not even 1 viewing!

I would sell as it sits for 7800, but stnadard 7400-7500, with making a few hundred on the mods!

    whats everyone think?

Id leave it as it stands really, its not extreme modifications it still looks pretty stock looking so will appeal to the wide audience

Splitting would definitely give you a few hundred pounds more!

I am SURE you can sell the exhaust relatively easily, as long as the price is right. But you might need to sell it as three separate parts, i.e. pre-cat, sports cat, and cat-back.

All the Irmscher bits will go in a flash too I reckon.

Car looks subtle enough to sell as it is, selling a car is a hit or a miss. Try advertising it on Pistonheads. Good luck mate.

I would advertise the exhaust as part exchange, they give you theirs and some cash and you give em yours. Makes sense if either of you can do the work. Changing an exhaust is pretty easy, two bolts and maybe a gasket at each join.

why dont you advertise the full leather exchange for half leather
should get you a few hundred a least
What is cross posting? Is it when you get angry and post it on a forum?

The fact that it looks quite stock means you wont get much more for it if you sell it as it is.

All the mods you have done are suble and tasteful so if you were to advertise them on here they would all go in a flash.

1st dibs on the lowering kit if you do decide to split please

I dont know if everyone will agree but to me that price seems a bit high unless its a higher spec.
