Lightbulb Favourite moments of the day...

Decided late on Saturday night that I was going to go to PVS...

Just wanted to get a little collection of everybodies favourite moments .

Personally mine had to be at another persons misfortune. The Blue Carlton that went 'pop' down the strip and had to crawl its was over the line. The owner must have been guted! Otherwise all the runs went well, apart from the corsa which decided to throw oil or water all over the track and put the jet car back about an hour.

What was your favourite part of the day??

P.S. my neck and arms are out of bounds today, I only went and forgot the suncream...

My favorite thing was the jet car, that thing was awesome. an engineering marvel.

the carlton was fairly funny... gutted for the owner though.

i took suncream, unfortunately still got burnt, and i was covered in gold glitter all day because it had some kind of "shimmer" stuff in it

Ah so many "moments" for me as it was my first show

I chuckled more than just a lot when one of the women on the VX/Irmscher stand realised she didn't have a clue where she'd put the keys she was meant to be looking after for the VXR8... She must have been panicing for a god ten minutes before someone pointed out they were in the centre console tray

AOC moment of the day..? well there were a few, but for me the look on one ladies face when the opal-vag astra was raised up via remote when no-one was anywhere near it but her has to be up there! That car was amazing!

As I said before, there are so many top quality moments for me, I cannot wait for next years PV, and I may have to look into going to a few other shows now!

lol Ive got a watchmark on one wrist, and a santa pod strip voucher thingy mark on the other...very sexy

I cant really put my finger on any specific part being my favorite, I guess making it to the end of the 1/4 mile 3 times without breaking anything on the car is good!

On the way home, I did chuckle when a Porsche went past with its roof down....in the rain

Spending all day Saturday helping Courtenay get their stuff ready and cleaning my car and having a real laugh doing it.

Getting up at 1:50 Sunday morning to meet up at Courtenay to convoy to the show at 2:30, arrving at 6:00 to get the stand and cars set up.

During the day looking at all the cars (and there were lots to look at), seeing the strip in action (some of the turbo Novas were so quick, I bet a few VXR owners we wonding what they had spent their money on?)and watching the people getting more sun burnt (some turned purple!).

Getting home at 10:00 and having my best nights sleep since Thursday.

It was a good show and I enjoyed it, so did my wife, esspecially handing out the balloons to the kiddies and adults alike.

Hope every one enjoyed themselves as a lot of effort was put in by all to make it happen.........on the club stands, trade stands etc.

I have about 80 pics, a mixture of strip and static, I'll post some up this evening if I get a chance.
Tell me what you've done, not what you're going to!

One of the funniest comedy timing moments was Coo on Sat night.
After his Genny had made a popping sound he said "the light hasn't flickered yet has it?".
"It did flicker" replied most folks.
"It'll be fine" he says turning to walk away as we were plunged into darkness.

Great weekend - too many good bits to say them all.
    0-60 in 6.5 secs and 48mpg- winner!
