    A.b.s

Is it possible to fit A.B.S onto a non-A.B.S Car?
The car involved is a 2001 SXI 1.8

I've got a 2002 1.6 SXI and I am not sure if it's got ABS.

How can I check without slamming my breaks on?

Ahh, I've not got it then, great.. Surely the 2002 SXI should have it? Maybe a blown fuse?

I thought the sxi came standard with abs? especially the 1.8, is it possible the abs was faulty when someone was selling the car and just removed the bulb rather than fixing it? I could be wrong about it coming standard though.

if you have 5 stud wheels you have abs, 4 studs mainly don't but some do.

like Danny said look for the pump, or the abs light.

Initially on Astra-G (mk4) only the CDX and SRi got ABS as standard, it was available as an extra cost option on all other models.
