    astra window wipers fault

#I noticeing today there is alot of problems with the window wipers on astra g models i come accross the 3rd today, my girlfriends has been playing up for a while works fine on fast/medium but when setting it on intermintant it stops anywhere and you have to keep wacking the stalk up and down to get it to the right postion, my mates 54 plate coupe started doing this last week now went to buy a run around diesal estate and guess what same fault... read few a few posts people say its teh motor im not convineced and want other opions in my eyes its a relay witch control the amount of strokes the wiper must take so i guess this must be a common fault doe sanyone know witch colour relays are for wipers etc?

I had this problem on my mk3. It was part of the rubber covering was stuck inside the steering wheel casing-bit and so wasnt letting it move around properly or stay in the right place.

I'm hoping I misunderstand the question...the rear wiper uses a seperate motor to that used to make the front wipers work...

This is a old topic now

the front and rear wipers are different parts and can't be interchangable.

Because there's MK3 and MK4 chat in here to save confussion i'm going to lock it
