I have all the time in the world (I was made redundant recently and can't be bothered to look for a new job yet).

Today I will be hopefully getting close to finishing my custom airbox, and putting another coat of paint on my skirts.

Tomorrow will be Lacquer on skirts, and finish airbox.

Wednesday will be electrical bits in the car, and external wash/clay/wash.

Thursday will be internal clean and then a polish.

Friday will be wheels off to be cleaned/polished/waxed and bodywork waxed.

Why rush and try and fit it all in to too few days??

    0-60 in 6.5 secs and 48mpg- winner!

i know that mine's not gonna be anywhere near a finished car this year, so i'm just trying to make it look respectable. The interior leather will be nice but the dash etc is a bit of a mish mash right now.

Oh how it would be nice to have the whole week off work to play with the car...

I have today and part of Friday to get sorted..

Today's jobs are pretty much weather dependant (which isn't good at the minute )... Still got to fit DVD H/Unit & tidy up wiring thats running through to the boot, also got to cover the false boot floor in black vinyl to hide all the odd bits of MDF I used then hopefully finish fitting part of the boot install. Will probably have to take it all out for the show though as there's no way I'll get all the stuff that I am buying in there for the journey home oh and then I'll give the car a quick rinse off as it looks filthy and I need to save as much time as I can for later in the week..

As for Friday, well stupidly I told my other half about 3 months ago that we could go out for the day, but I intend on getting up at a ridiculous time of day and giving the car a good clean (we will have to take her car out, although she doesn't know it yet!) then in the evening a final polish and/or wax. I really don't think I'm going to get half the stuff done I intended to, and to cap it all off I have just spotted a shopping trolley-style dent in the side that I aren't going to have any time to put right at all this week...

Got loads to do over the week. Got to change the EGR valve gasket to a genuine Vauxhall blanking plate. Its booked in to find a running gremlin on Wednesday so will lose a lot of potential prepping time while its there.

My brother was hoping to machine polish the paintwork (he works at a crash repair centre), got a full vacuum planned, argh sooo much to do!

Hope this weather clears up for PVS too

The car has taken up too much of time and money lately, there's still things that need doing for PV but they simply won't get done. It'll be cleaned on saturday and thats it.

I've got all week off work to get coursework finished as theres only a couple weeks left at college and if I don't get my act together I'm gonna end up failing my HNC.

Getting the coupe looking a bit better is certainly not worth throwing away two years of study

Spending the whole week on mine - the list seems to be growing rather than shrinking modifying all the console components at the moment. Picking up the car tomorrow and then straight to the body shop.

well my plans didn't go to..... plan

    • I got the leather cleaned but not conditioned
    • Got the new plates on
    • Got the new hose for the enlarged air scoop on but i'm not happy with the way it all sits - only temp though as hopefully soon i'll get a Dbilas manifold
Friday hopefully i'll have had two coats of conditioner on the leather. Maybe Megs 3 stage treatment weather dependant
