    bumper strips

    does anyone know if i have to remove door cards to remove bumper strips

    NOPE

    they are a total piece of piss to remove.

    Front door ones just push them backwards either with ur hand or a block of wood - just give em a light tap to nudge em back a couple of cm's...they will then just carefully pull away from the body. You may wish to open the door ever so slightly so they dont fly off backwards and hit the rear strips!

    You'll see what I mean when u do it.

    The rear doors are similar but in this case they slide forwards so nudge the rear of the strip forwards until they can be pulled off.

    You'll be left with holes & white clips left in place... no need to replace any clips unless u go at it like a total loon.

    In Haynes tradition - refitting is reversal of removal.

    ive just finished c/c'ing mine. Only took about 2months!!!

    Luckily I sourced some new handles so it was much easier - personally Id advise getting em done at a bodyshop - maybe prepare them yourself but I know for sure next time I'll be leaving it to the pro's
