    Smile My latest odd mod

    Ok so i've picked my car up from Chris Astley's today after having some work done. To look at the car, you'd never spot what i've had done, and when you do see it you'll all think i'm wierd. Anyways, here it is:

    ready for my install. i want the install to be fixed and permanent without losing the spare or having to remove everything to get to it. i thought this was the best comprimise

    yup, that's odd

    You'd be best back-threading the loose end of the staps through the buckle as nylon webbing has a tendancy to slip from vibration - ask any climber

    It's been painted in black hammerite type stuff on the outside and sprayed with similar on the inside. I'm gonna waterproof and sound deaden the inside in the weeks to come though.

    why not just tyre weld? thats exactly what I did when I removed the spare wheel well.

    I climb for a job and that didn't even cross my mind geoff Cheers for that though, i think i'm gonna drop it at and cover the straps in a plastic sleeve and then get some sort of locking jobby from work
