    Sold my Astra to buy a house.

    Can you not just pull the shaft and hub out to get it out of the gear box? How do they fasten into the gearbox?

    not sure on astra's usually if you drop the bottom ball joint and maybe track rod end out you could pop it out the gearbox then undo the hub nut and pull shaft out but theres no point taking the whole shaft out if its the outer cv boot as you can just remove it from hub and do it in place.

    100% sure? My passenger side inner one is burst and have an MOT looming. Tried to get a boot before but got told they only do replacement driveshafts!!!
