    Removing 2.2 inlet manifold

    Hi all

    I was thinkin of removing my inlet manifold to give it a good clean as it is full of crap. would this be a easy job plus would i need to renew any washers/seals?

    It's an absolute ******* of a job - amongst things you need to remove to get at it are

    fuel rail
    bottom rad brackets
    air con pump
    plus assorted looms and pipes and sensors

    don't attempt this without a haynes, but all the gaskets are rubber and should be reusable

    Cheers geoff i knew you would come to the rescue

    in that case i think i will just leave it , is there any way to clean it with out taking it off?

    There's no easy way due to the scroll shape of it unfortunately.

    I wouldn't even recommend using a rag and carb cleaner to get out what you can incase you dislodge a chunk and it eventually find it's way into the head
