    Arrow Caliper Painting....

Ive just bought my first Astra (Mk 4, 3dr 1.6i in flame red) and i'm in love!! My question is, (I'm new to modding btw) as it only has calipers at the front and drums at the rear, when the 17's go on it, is it a no-no to paint the calipers at the front and leave the drums as they are? Or, what other options are open to me (apart from discs all round!!!!) ?

    Cheers, Ben

as above - well not exactly!!!

YES - paint the drums black - with hammerite smooth (clean them up first with a good wire brush)

Do the same with the calipers but this time u can be as adventurous as u wish - best to stick with hammerite smooth and not some specific "caliper paint" as it tends to be overpriced crap!

Do you have to take the calipers off to paint them or can they be left on? If you do is it a hard job to take them off?

they are easy to take off as then you also wont get paint on the back of your pad! I just used hamerite smooth after a good clean with a wire brush and they look good tbh!
