    Driving licence advise

I have been putting this off for years and not due to any reason other than laziness!

Due to me losing my driving licence and the fact its a paper one, with very old points on. I need to apply for a new one.

Now the problem is I move a fair bit (I have moved around 10 times over the last 13 years so I dont get around to changing my address on my driving licence (I know this is a bad thing to do and agaianst the law) but I bet I have only needed the bloody thing about 3 times in the last 10 years.

So my question is when I change it in to my new address will there be any problems? the last address it was in I lived there 11 years ago

If you get points they go on the address of the car not the licence holder which I dont have or have had in fact. Is there anything else that could mean trouble at my door?

    cheers for any gen.

I just got my very first photo card licence, and it's pretty straight forward.

all you need is the form (from a PO), and a photo countersigned by someone responsible who's known you for over 2 years. if you've got a passport cetain post offices can verify that while you wait

Any changes to address can then be done online, or via a form again

IIRC, the only thing they'll ask you on an address changed is how long you have lived at your current address

Bye bye VXR Castle Combe Edition - because it's done more laps of Castle Combe than most Bergs have of the Ring

not so - it's now up to £1000 fine if you have the wrong address on your licence, hence work busting my balls about mine being wrong

They will lock you up and subject you to "bruno's" deep cavety probing for 3 years

Na... I think you just need to complete the D1 form and send it away with original proof of identity and a passport type picture..

Think its take about 3 weeks and costs £22

Geoff did you change your address as well? Was it a long time since you have moved?

Can you just put that you have moved address and lost your old DV? Hense the replacment with the new address?

The D1 form takes care of all requests for a new licence and change of address..
