    fault code readers?

been sniffing around on ebay and come across vauxhall fault code readers similar to tech 2, has anyone used one of these and if so are they any good? for £30-£40 it would soon pay for itself! gives you fault codes and allows clearing of codes after problem sorted. any feedback welcome, cheers!!!!!!

how does this work? you just plug in and press search for fault codes? when they come up just press erase, surely it cant be that simple can it? when you got yours did you have any customs tax or import taxes to pay. not keen on buying from abroad because of hidden fees. these work out at arond 25 quid working on 2 dollars to the pound as a round figure. does it search most things or just the engine control system? does look easier than lumbering the laptop about though. obd 2? is this what i want for a 2003 astra gsi? also will it work on the wifes meriva? be good if it works on both. happy days!!!!!!
