    Aftermarket Headunit in MK5

Picking up my sport hatch friday hopefully, now ive just bought the new Alpine IDA-X001 HU, what is needed to fit the HU? Also what things are lost on the display? The dash is a silvery grey colour. Any part numbers would be great

I think the bestthing to do is get down to vauxhall and order the fitting kit for a after market headunit as it will have the ISO loom, aerial booster and facia plate

I'm not sure what the colour match is like, don't think it's spot on

I'm sure you keep all functions apart from being able to change the time which you can only do through the factory headunit

Colour match isn't that good on mine. Long story but I'm going to change mine in the fututre so I'm going to try and obtain a better colour match...

Best of luck trying to get one that matches. I have tried all the makes, namely Vauxhall, Autoleads, Connects2, hama and lastly the Blaupunkt one and none have matched at all. In the end I painted it myself and the colur match is about 95% there.

But if you can hold on for a while Incartec where going to get the exact colour code for there fascia, so one hope that these will be almost 100% of a match. It would be nice for a change.
