Question Bora 1.9 tdi 115 BHP.

Right, I'm trying to help out a mate of mine. He has the 2000 1.9 tdi VW bora that is at 115 BHP from standard. He desperately wants/needs some more power. I'm not really that knowledgeable on either VW's or diesels.

So I'm after some advice on companys in the south east or self mods to bring this diesel dog up in power.

    Throw any advice in!

    Rob.

Something like these people should be able to sort him out with a tuning box

150bhp-ish should be achievable quite easily, and more importantly plenty of torques.

Is the 130 bhp model not just the same but with a remap and a 6-speeder anyway?

I'm not sure, I'm really not into diesels. Cheers for the link I will have a look then pass on the details.

Any other sites and links are more than welcome.

From memory, the 115 is the old 90 already tuned up. I think the 110 and 130 are the better engines that can see well over 150 with a remap. I could be wrong, though.

the 115 had 6 gears too, my dad used to have it, he now has the 130, i think its a new engine, utilising PD technology (dont quote me) I never drove the 115 he had (was too young) but i've driven the 130 and its a good strong engine. Really good gains to be had from remaps apprantly

the 90 and 110 are the old units

the 115, 130 and 150 are the newer PD ones

Jabba will remap your 115 to approx 150 bhp

also remember regals are now doing VAG cars

    have a look on www.uk-mkivs.net
Ibiza FR CR TDI with 203 BHP
