    bucket seats

    Hello

    Fitting sum silver and black bucket seats to me silver coupe.. just wandering, i know they come with universal sub frames but asks to get them fitted professionally cuz of safety which id prefer to do.. anyone know where could fit seats? does a local garage do this?

    tbh mate, it wont really be necessary.

    they only advise that to cover themselves in case some total numpty tries to fit them and only fits one bolt or summit stupid like that.

    Providing u have common sense and can follow instructions or at least fit it in the same position as the old one then you'll be ok.

    Whichever way u go about fitting them u may wish to pay careful attention to the seatbelt pretensioners - hopefully these can be transferred over to your new seats without any trouble - just make sure before u disconnect these from the harness under neath ur existing seats that u leave the key out of the ignition for a good 30 mins beforehand and dont re-insert it until everything has been refitted again and the pre-tensioners have been correctly installed and plugged back into the harness.

    Failure to comply to this will result in your airbag lights coming on thus rendering your entire airbag circuit useless....and only way to resolve would be having the car hooked up to Tech2 (£40-50) to have it reset!!!

    As said above - providing u can read instructions and have common sense.,.. no need at all to employ someone else to fit the seats, providing all the necessary components are supplied.
