Spare Wheel vs Tyre Weld vs Flatbed vs Runflats

Right guys, I know that there are people here who don't carry a spare wheel. Just wondered how common this is.
So as vote - who has a spare wheel, spare alloy (to match their others), carries a can of tyre weld, has forked out for Runflat tyres or is just reliant on a friendly garage with a flatbed to take them home.

For those with tyreweld - who has had to use it??

I have a spare full size (15") steel. But i have contemplated taking it out for weight purposes and just putting a can of tyre weld.

But anyone know, if you use tyre weld? do you loose your tyre and have to cut it off the rim ? and buy a new one? or can it still be reused and puncture repaired?

Space Saver, although its going to be a ballache if the front goes, putting back wheel on the front and then space saver on the back.

Omega doesnt have a spare, I have an RAC card
    Both MK3;s have alloy spares
VXR has tyre weld type shite, personally Id advise against this as once its in if the tyre wasnt ****ed to start with then it will be with that stuff in.

Teejay, this is interesting stuff. I just decided to lok into it a bit further .
Found some stuff on other forums about it, people say its faultless. Its not tyreweld, its preventative, rather than a repair. It never lets the puncture go flat and is a permanent repair.

It actually stops you from ever getting a puncture if that makes sense.

Have a look. also type "tyresafe" in google. Loads of stuff comes up.

I carry one of my old 18s. Mainly because the spare was bald and the alloy had a brand new tyre on it
