Interior light a the front and brake lights at the back?

Makes no sense at all as they aren't linked in any way even by earths

Only thing I can think of is that the brake light wire is shorting on a pin switch wire where it gets it's earth to switch the light on. If this is the case braking with the door open could well blow the brake light fuse

if it was me i would see if the fuse does blow by pressing the brake with the door open, at least then your one step closer

Havent changed any bulbs since i bought it from vauxhall, started on my way home from work on saturaday. switch is definately off.
On Saturaday i pulled the fuse out so I didnt get a flat battery and a bit later I put it back in so i could eat with the light on and then it seemed fine. So it seems to be an intermittant fault!! I hate it when that happens, still would be greatful if anyone has ideas, hopefully wont happen again.
