    FAO Bank charges refunded peeps

Can you tell me if you have now cocked up your credit rating a bit by getting your charges back and did you have to close your bank account?

Just out of interest, as my b/f was told that it effects your credit score when the bank pays out????

Personally I wouldnt have thought they should put a black mark against your name...but you never know.

    nah i dont think so,

I have had loads of charges (god damn being a student!) and it doesnt affect it at all.

I got 2 charges refunded, and as im with halifax they only do the first 2 of the year, but it dodnt affect credit at all. Managed to get car credit with vaux no problem.

my bank have only taken two charges form my account ever for going over my overdraft.

the first being me paying off my credit card in full, then they took the money for the c/card out of my platinum account and my savings...i argued with them and had the fee refunded

then this month they had the nerve for taking £60 for being £5 over my overdraft...i had put the money back in form my saving to cover this within the 24 hour period that covers you...they still had the nerve to charge me the £60..but i got the manager to ring me back and now thats refunded....argue the point with them and they are quite submissive,if all fails go that the links abpve...b ut it doesnt affect your credit rating....however i know llyodes have a score of 1-9 on how you handle your account,if you rely on your overdraft, how ofteny ou go over it..your not refused credit if your score falls low, howvere the interest you would pay on a loan or credit card is much higher, which can be reveiwed after 12 months and you can take another loan with them at a lower interst to pay off your outstanding.
