    Anyone going to Festival of Speed 2007

    Just booked my tickets.

    Anyone else going??

    Yep, at Goodwood. Very very good day out would highly recommend it.

    Wouldn't bother with grandstand seats just go for the general admission.

    Well, shows like Trax and Performance Vauxhall are about a quarter of that price, but Goodwood is several hundred thousand times better so just look at it that way

    Also, if you can get work off Friday is only £25

    Matt whats the best day to go? I am a goodwood virgin but would love to go, it usually falls the same weekend as billing but this year it doesnt.

    I went for the first time on a Friday last year and I'll be going on the Friday this year as well as it's quite a bit cheaper. Could be a little less busy as well, though there certainly wasn't a shortage of people there last year.

    I think about the only real difference between days as far as the actual event is concerned is what happens in the hill climb competition:

    Fri: Free practice
    Sat: 2 practice runs per driver
    Sun: 2 Timed runs per driver

    So, Sunday is when the actual Hill Climb competition takes place so that's probably pretty neat but I haven't been then so can't really comment. Friday was good enough though
