    going to body shop!

hi all. my astra's off in to body shop next monday for the bumper, bonnet, front wings and skirts repainting. before it goes in wounld you wash the car with washing up liquid? to get rid of all the wax, sealants, QD, ect off the paint. whould this be a good idea to help the new paint finish?
    thanks shaun.

I would imagine that they will strip the car's paint back before performing any work to it mate, as they wone be able to paint without the surface first being prepared and that includes all waxes removed etc... You could wash it with Fairy first if you wish, personally I wouldn't as it contains harsh salts and can dry the paintwork, and also there have been reports that Fairy doesn't actually strip off all of the wax protection.
