Dose any one know if this DVD/CD player any good and will it fit astra?
and if it is good will it drain the battery down?

I think its a good value and looks good any thoughts?

heard mixed reviews about these, not as good as your more expensive brands but represents good value for money . I'd go in store and see one working b4 buying one though.

as for power drain.. well any h/unit is capable of draining the power... try it yourself. turn your key to 1st click in ignition, then flick h/u on, preferably to full power for faster results. Now leave car for a couple of hours (or maybe all day if you want to make sure), and try to start ignition. battery will by now be flatter than a blind and deaf hedgehog crossin a motorway.

your h/u shouldn't drain too much power if you don't use it for too long with ignition off, however if you have a lot of stereo in the car drawing power then even having the car running may not prevent the battery being drained. I'd do a quick search in the ICE forum(s) for more info.

EDIT - will definately fit any DIN aperture, such as the one in your astra

If you want it specifically for DVD playback don't bother mate, ripspeed do a full motorised flip out screen one thats much better, more expensive but it's worth saving up a bit more ,it has a 6" screen, just my 2 pence.

If its anything like the quality of their pedals, gearknobs and tax disc holders i wouldn't bother. Ripspeed stuff always appears to be cheap junk to me. (just my opinion)

Bye bye VXR Castle Combe Edition - because it's done more laps of Castle Combe than most Bergs have of the Ring

    Thanks for the feedback people,
True say about ripspeed being a chavy brand and not being the best in the market that was my initial thought as i vowed my self not to buy the brand but in this case the product seem to be very appealing and i do think i will go for it ..had a look today it seemed ok not the best but will the job....so i do think i will get it i will post the pics when its fited ^_^

Had a look what argos has to offer not much there for my likings

    Thanks again
