Hello all - new to the site

Evening all - great site - found lots of useful things already. Currently driving a standard 2004 Silver GSI Zafira. Well impressed with the car even after previously owned a Ford ST220. Got lots of ideas how to improve the motor - recent ideas:

19" VXR wheels - (hope they fit)
    Electric folding mirrors
Irmscher door pins and hand brake covers
    Angel and Zenon headlights
    install arm rest
    Shark fin style ariel
    Vauxhall tax disk holder
    VXR style Zafira front grill
new drilled brake disks and pads
large style performance brake caliper covers
    ICE install

Hello and welcome to the site.

What was the ST220 like to drive and own??
I was looking at a 53-reg against the 04-reg GSi that i bought, but it was a close run thing.

    hi, thanks for replys

The ST220 was an amazing car. I had 53 reg with 6 speed gear box and would accelerate from 60 to 140 (private roads) in no time. Would give a Subaru a run for its money. Only 3 bad points. I had the car in dark blue called performance blue which was a nightmare to keep clean and stop the streak marks, petrol cost, could see the needle move when accelerating hard and finally braking. When trying to stop at extreme high speeds the car be like a brick slidding on ice. I have been well pleased with the Zafira and look forward to some upgrades

Well reading that i'm glad I got the Zafira.

I do love the ST220 and even Clarkson raves about it, but I was very undecided as I already had the ST24 and so wanted to move away from the Mondeo.
I would of only got the 53-reg onwards as wanted all the upgrades and 6-speed box. Went to the airport in a freinds performance blue ST220 last year. Three blokes and all the bags for a weekend in spain, with one car seat, the back bench felt cramped. Seeing as all 7 of the family went to Newmarket races in the company Zafira Dti a couple of years back I already liked the Zafira for the space, just wanted the performance of the 220 as well which I think the GSi delivers.
