fitting a dump valve to a zafira gsi

Hi there i am hoping to find out some information on how to fit a baileys dv26 dump valve. I have been advised to leave the oe valve alone and not mess with it. But i have also been told if i am to fit a dump valve i should fit a T piece into the fuel pressure pipe is this correct?? Ifso could someone please highlight the pipe on a picture. Thanks if you can help. I have just joined this site and it looks like it could be full of very useful info.

i fitted my dump valve today by putting a 1 way valve in the oe dv pipe as illustrated on a post and the car did not pull no where near like i did so i have removed it. I am under the conclusion that the oe dv is best. I have taken the 1 way valve out and im running both and it has got its power back so will keep it that way now i think.

There are people on here who do run an aftermarket dump valve with no problems but alot of people do experience running problems and revert back to just the OE valve.

IMO the induction filter is the best way to go. Had a grp A dump valve on my Cossie, when i bought it, and took it off straight away as the chirp from the air filter imo sounds much much better!
I have read on here that you get alot of heat soak from the engine bay on the Zafira which wasn't a problem on the Cossie as it sat under the bonnet vent.

Hi sorry to but in, was wondering where about is the standard dump valve located in the gsi? do you need to join the thin pipe that goes on top of the dump valve to the old dump valve pipe? Cheers Neil

You can leave the oe one standard and plumb the after market on the fuel pressure regulator.
