OPC X20XER mainfold, cams and map

if i got a hold of the OPC limited run mainfold, cams and map for a X20XER engine could I put this straight into my X20XEV or would I need to get the rest of the parts like the lump, head, OPC Mahle forged high compression pistons, Recast Holden/OPC high yield steel crankshaft, etc

has anyone done this already or have a OPC astra with X20XEV engine

Unfortunatly its not as easy as that...

To fit the OPC cams you will need the OPC pistons as they are pocketed due to the high lift nature of the cams. Many owners have went for and OPC map though, but I wouldn't imaging its much off a MAp from other tuners as it depends on what you ahve had done to the engine. As for manifold, the OPC one is just an Irmscher one, and the Lexmaul is a similar design to it.

So to sumarise you can't fit the OPC cams without gettign the piston's pocketed.

There is a VVOC member selling a complete OPC engine for good money if you wanted to take that route, then all you would need to get done is the manifold and get the ECU Mapped.

buying the OPC exhaust manifold, cams, head, pistons and map wouldn't be worth it for the extra 25-30BHP you'd gain.

Mk1 OPC Astra G with X20XER only had 165bhp as 'standard', and for the cost of those other parts you could probably buy 'better' and cheaper and get better results!

manifold is decent enough on its own,

reprofiled cams and some throttle bodies and a live map and your laughing.
