    Ok i have a problem.

I want to start properly modifying my car. So i phoned my insurance co Direct line) to see what a satinless exhaust wd cost. NOT ALLOWED! ok so i said Couple other bits NOT ALLOWED. then i said i wanted to fit a boost gauge to help protect my turbo NOT ALLOWED FFS!!

Makes me think bol***s il do it anyway because it seems that everybody else in the world has modded cars and is insured but i cant. Im 23 have 6yrs NCD. I could understand if i'd have 5crashes. Yes ive mede 2 claims in last 3yrs but i had both my cars broken into and ruined. Im paying 630 adrian flux want 1500!! where can i go for decent insurance thats not theft and massively, stupidly dear?

You other guys with modded GSi's who r u insured with?

I am with AF with my ACT, I was with direct line but like you say you cant do any modding. Have a look in the back of mags like max power and see what specialist insurance companies are out there, i have used firebond in the past as they allow mods.

That's the only time I'vve heard a company NOT to insure mods. sure, there's normally a little charge for them but that's the first time ive come accross it not being allowed

Bye bye VXR Castle Combe Edition - because it's done more laps of Castle Combe than most Bergs have of the Ring

Try Tescos mate. I was modding my Corsa since I was 22 , only had 2 years NCB at the time and they had no problem with any mods and the additional premiums were minimal.

Same now goes for my Coupe

You'll find that a lot of the times companies that dont insure mods will be cheaper.

You should ALWAYS get a policy that allows mods, if you're planning to do some.

What is cross posting? Is it when you get angry and post it on a forum?

Or these just for quotes and try and barter them down against each other when you get a decent quote.

    Got to re-do mine soon.
