Help Required Ref Gsi Bumper - Pics!

Purchased this from the bay about 3 months ago, yes I have made a claim and the damage inspectors are due out later part of this week.

The way it was transported it caused it to buckle in the middle....is it me or are these bumpers flimsy as hell...anyways, also the bar in the 2nd picture is buggered!

Have had the bumper looked at and apperently its repairable, so fingers crossed.

All I would like to know is,

1, What are your opinions, is it a write off?
2, Where can I grab some cheap ass foglights?
3, Do I need anything else for fitment, if you could include approx price and part numbers that would be ace!!

Thanks for your help in advance guys/gals!

I didn't buy the official fogs as there a rip off so found some the same size for £20!!!! (well a little bit smaller but nothing that will notice) Great little lights with Halogen bulbs.

    Link to Fogs:http://www.motabitz.net/proddetail.p...d=dl70f&cat=23

Also link to my recent fitting: http://www.m1gst.com/vb/showthread.php?t=102441

Search the forum for GSI BUMPER - lots of posts about parts numbers/things needed, or go to Vaux dealer. They can print you an exploded diagram of al the bits your gonna need.

    I bought:
    3 lower grilles,
2 rubber strips (they go on rounded corner that marrys under main headlights),
    skid pan.

And it wasnt cheap. You may want to get fixings while your there as I forgot but used nuts and bolts.

You may want the longer arch linings,
brake duct deflectors things that go on bottom of bumper (im sure someone will say wot I mean). They send air towards brakes. Oh and a new strengthing bar if you cant sort the one you have + some rivets.

Good luck - not a quick or cheap job at all but go for it, its def worth it.

When my gsi bumper was nicked i brought another from vxl and that came with a chunk of primer missing. I didnt know because it was all wrapped up. I drove to bodyshop ad they just painted over it! mdid an awful job. That was a yr ago, still the same. Will eventually get around to doin it.

Y dint i take it back u ask. Because it was too far away and i work 7days a week all day so i just do not have the time.

I had non standard fogs in my GSI bumper at first, but when one got cracked I could not buy any replacements, so I suggest at £20 a set you consider buying two pairs so you have some spares.

As for the damaged bumper, it looks repairable to me.
Tell me what you've done, not what you're going to!
