    stupid question (maybe)

    what sand paper would you use to flatten the pattern or bobble off of the doorstrips etc?
    I want a sports cat

    well first of all u dont use "sand paper" u use "wet n dry" abrasive paper

    You'll need various grades starting at approx 100 or 240 (coarse) up thru 400,600,800,1200 & 1500 as u progress thru the different paint stages. Maybe as fine as 2000 or 3000 for final flattin of lacquer etc if ur really particular.

    Have a look in the HOW TO section - at the "painting interior plastic trim" - the same principle applies for any plastic trim.

    Lots of patience and preperation is the key here - spend plenty of time on the prep work and ur end results should be good.

    sorry i was thinking wet and dry but i meant what grade lol the only way i thought of describing it was sand paper thank alot mate i will have a look and try and get some second hand strips and have a go

    pre-primed are approx £100 for a set (3 door hatch).

    will be about £5-10 at most from a breakers, or just take off your current ones and put some duct tape along the holes.

    if you bugger it up just flat it back and have another go.
    0-60 in 6.5 secs and 48mpg- winner!
