    Good 4 Stud Braking Setup...

Hey guys, i'm needing to replace my brake pads shortly - and i figure as i'm doing that i might as well go for a slightly improved setup.

So i was thinking about uprating the pads, discs and hoses. Converting to a 5 Stud isn't an option because i've got wheels etc.

So i'm looking for recommendations - have heard good things about Green Stuff Pads, Also would the braided hoses off LMF be worthwhile?

    Cheers Guys,

    Graham

braided hoses and a full brake fluid change are definitely worth it.

Greenstuff pads are good, but only if you buy EBC discs too. If they are used with Vx discs then they wear the disc out quicker than the pad!!!

Was considering the EBC Pads & Discs, or like i said by PM Mark, the 308mm setup - but its alot of money for that !

I also heard some good things about the Ferodo pads, not sure if they're any good!

Depends if you mean good Ferodo, or Halfords Ferodo (budget).

There's a difference? The Ferodo products that are sold in halfords stores - are they budget ones?

Or do u mean halfords own brand pads are made by Ferodo?

I work in halfords & dont even know this lol!

Halfords sell Halfords Brakes, and Ferodo Brakes. The ones sold in Halfords are ther very very bottom of the range Ferodo ones. I don't know who makes the Halfords ones, but on an old Ibiza I fitted both and they were the same (poor).

The better Ferodo ones can be good.

Probably looking to spend around about £250 max.

I think i would like to look at doing the 308mm setup that mark was talking about but source the parts second hand. Anyone fancy going to a scrappy for me? Lol!
