    Which Discs and Pads

Looking to upgrade the brakes on my 5 stud SRi. either to just new standard numbers or upgraded bigger ones.

If i was to get the same size but aftermarket ones then what would be best to go for?

Bigger size? do i need new caliper carriers for 308mm?

Which pads would people recommend. i have heard good and bad things about EBC

    Cheers

As Humm says, just get the kit from LMF. Comes with pads, carrier brackets and a choice of discs.

If you want BIG brakes on a budget:

Saab 2.3T Viggen Front discs - £70 per pair from GSFcarparts.
Vectra 2.5V6 Front Pads from Vx - £15 per pair.
Calliper Carriers can be had for £40-50 or less second hand - but are under £100 new. I'm sure somebody withaccess to EPC would be able to give you a part number so that you could check the prices!!

GSFCarParts 308mm plain (vented) discs = S62770 and are £34 each.

    (Saab 9-5 MY2000>onwards 2.3T,V6 3.0,V6 3.0D (INC AERO MODELS))

I'm sure if you call them they may have some performance options (grooved, drilled etc)

I got the omp drilled and grooved 308mm for £119.99 on the omp shop on ebay, they're good discs. But the pads i'm using are Ferodo DS and got them from a local supplier

So you'd recommend that setup then? Has anyone else tried the OMPs?
