    Engine BHP

Does anyone know how I can confirm whether an Astra Sports Hatch is a 120 bhp engine or 150 bhp engine?

Most 120's are 8v(all vectras & signums, most current astra's), however early 120's in the astra's (up until 55 I think dont quote me) where 16v units.

    All 150's are 16v

Most common way of checking - if you have a 150 you will have a silver n red cdti badge, if you have a 120 you will have an all silver (not a foolproof method as badges can be changed etc)

some dealers did put red 'i's on the 120 tho and some people did cotton on tho, think a lad took his back as he was told it was a 150 ( red i ) only to find out it was a 120

Thank you for the information. It does have a red TI on the badge. When I tried to insure the car, the Insurance company underwriters classified the car as a 120bhp car.

Perhaps the best way to confirm this is to call Vauxhall direct.
