Mancity? has one fitted to his 1.8 I've also got one but not got round to fitting it yet no time but reports are very good on them.

You seen the post in the Regal section on the benefits on a 1.8 Corsa?

Can't think of an alternative unless you wanna fit throttle bodies

    thanks Oddjob
I emailed Total Vauxhall too about there corsa and they say that they were really impressed with it on the 1.4 corsa

do you think it can be done just as a stand alone mod or should I get the cams + pullys done at the same time

Stand alone is fine. You'll need a remap to get the best out of it but it does work fine without the map if your buying it secondhand.

Cams etc are only needed if you need additional power, no required just for the Dbilas.

    What engine BTW?

just a 1.4 (X14XE) but its abit sentimental and done alot of work on looks and interior so dont want to get rid of it and Insurance is way too high to but a bigger engine in

I emailed Regal with a price list for a few bits and pices
    NGK Spark Plugs £40.00
    Magnecor Leads £120.00
    High tourque cams £480.00
    Pullys £139.00
    Inlet mainfold + Remap £925

I was going to get it all done at the same time and get a remap done with it all regal say its gona cost about £1700

not lookin for big BHP just something that can overtake well and drive nice

You could buy most of those bits and fit them yourself.....

I am working on an option using bits and bobs for the good ladies Z16XE engine but for ease if you can afford it go for the Dbilas one.

well I am open to any info I can get obivously cheaper the better (not compromising quality though)

well I was thinking getting the
NGK Spark Plugs, Magnecor Leads, High tourque cams +Pullys separatly and my mate would fit them at his garage, but wondent I need a Remap after the Cams and pullys were put in

but i still want to get the Diablis Manifold becouse it seems to be the most reliable and proven results, but I started this thread to find if there were any alternatives

Plugs you can get for under £30
Leads you can get for under £50
No need for pulleys, you can use the standard ones, if your using cams that wont feck up your drivability, verniers are a waste of time.
Cams I sell to piper spec, £200 for a reprofile and 280 for cams outright, in fast road spec
Power band 2k-6.5k +10 hp quoted, my z18xe got +12 whp.

Inlet manifold I think is great, but im wondering, can you fit an x16xe lower manifold to your head, and use the dbilas from that (which costs £500 with the map) instead.
If you needed lifters you can get these youself for around £50 a set, timing discs are not vernier pulleys, I will throw in some assembly lube with the cams.

    i would get cams
an head work done with the inlet
thats what my money would be on as you want to keep the 1.4 lump
a 1.8 is a small block an will drop in ??
also how about 4 stud 308mm set up on the front you will stop better
with that on my 1.8 i would out run my friends 2.0 around the back roads in essex
