    Civic Type R

    i know there is a few of you on here that has got or had a ctr and i wanted to know if any knew wat mods there are for more bhp as they do seem very ltd as to gain bhp compared to the z20let. i was thinking zorst and induction kit and remap but wanted to know if there is anythink else or wat you wud advise.

    I know my mate has a straight through exhaust, K&N cone filter and a precat / decat. Theres some quite nice gains there. I'm sure after he had the exhaust fitted and the precat decat he was running 230ish. But because there already VVT theres not huge gains to be had without going mental and either SC or turboing the car.

    what zorst is your mates have you any idea and did this make a big differance or did it not make much.

    The induction kit situation seems pretty dire to be honest, theres that massive mess of stuff they call Gruppe M. you have to mod the scuttle panel to fit the air scoop K&N do the Typhoon, so that'll just suck in loads of hot air as its mounted down the back near the exhaust like the rest of the cones, bloody genius

    Think I'm gonna buy the replacement cone type filter that goes in the factory air box. Not sure if Mugen make anything, I've heard of a carbon air box

    Exhausts could be tricky for me as I wouldn't want anything too loud
