I haven't done mine but was seriously thinking about 308mm upgrades for my bus, so let me know how you get on.

On my astra 1.4 i put on drilled 256mm ferodo discs and ds fast road pads, but they squeal an awful lot. On my turbo i've decided to try omp drilled and grooved 308mm hope they're more silent. And in answer the braking is better but upping the size of disc and caliper would be very noticable

Had my bus serviced a couple of weeks back ant the technician pointed a few things out that will soon need attention, including renewal of the front discs.

He said the OE ones don't last long at all and said that he's pretty sure that VX have just brought out a a repacement disc priced at £60 a pair for the regualr 308 discs.Any one else heard of this?

How true this is ,I'm not sure. I wasn't really paying attention TBH! Doh.

Not an upgrade as such but just something to refer to.

I replaced my standard 308mm discs to Red.Dot 20 groove discs and greenstuff pads, great improvement over standard.

Thanks for the info, I hate cleaning alloy wheels, greenstuff pads are claimed to produce less brake dust, can you confirm this is true or is it just an advertising ploy? cheers........marty.

Over the standard pad setup yes greenstuff pads dont create as much brake dust.
