Yes they can be fitted without a problem on a GSi, I would recommend going for a de-tachable towbar though as atleast once the swan neck is taken off you cant tell theres a towbar fitted and you dont end up with the clumpy towbar hanging out. Will be able to tow 450kg without a problem.

Hence the de-tachable one although they are more expensive than a standard towbar, but worth the extra

Will tow a jet ski no problem, the guy that bought my GSi used it to tow his jet ski about.

I fitted a detachable Brink towbar to my GSI. Was a really good choice as well. When the tow hook is removed it is hard to tell any different.
I fitted it myself, there is no need to cut the bumper, but you do have to drill 4 holes in the boot, but these are already dotpunched out. Be sure to paint the holes when you've done.
There is also a separate wiring loom with a plug on it behind the boot trim in the middle. This is for the trailer lights. You will need a bypass relay as well otherwise the computer thinks you have bulb failures.
Another note. When I went to Courtney's to have my Miltek exhaust fitted, the backbox wouldn't fit!! Thankfully the guys took it round the corner to a fabricators workshop. They cut a small section out of it and welded it back up in stainless....perfect.
