Convertible roof again - beeping this time

I accidently jammed the roof today while I was trying to get it down to get some boxes off the back seat and it stuck a little bit open. I managed to close it manually with the allen key in the winder hole at the front of the roof and its now closed properly but just gives beep beep beep noise whenever the ignition is on.

Does anyone know how to reset this? I was thinking about disconnecting the battery for 30 minutes or so?

I find that if I ever open mine whilst moving (slowly) and it gets confused the problem is usually solved by opening it and then closing it again.

Not sure if that's any help to be honest but hope you get it sorted mate.

Nope, the button does nothing at all. Just beeps at me when you press it.

I've had that like when the remote decides to stop working half way through and you need to get in and do it on the button but this is worse than that

Almost sounds like an electrical hitch to me. Obviously question, but is the handbrake is on? Perhaps the connection between handbrake light and roof switch is not working? Fuse/relay connected to the roof motors gone?

Probably not much help, but hope you get it sorted soon. Let us Holden Astra convertible owners know how you get on . . . in case it happens over here too!

well it might not be the same thing but mine did a simular thing, every time you start the car or take off the hand brake just keeps on beeping.

Was a faulty ECU needed a new one and left my wallet a few hundred notes lighter.

I certainly hope its something different for you mate

Trip switch just made a clunking noise as if it were opening the door but the roof is up so the door couldn't move.

ECU fault and beeping sounds the same although my beeping was brought on by the jam - did yours suffer mechanical intereference or just fail one day?

Good news - ran through the manual closing procedure backwards (there is no manual opening procedure in the book!) and it fixed it.

I also located a control box off a guy who was selling a pump so I mailed him. Might still get that just in case mine fails at a later date.
