Decided to put the finishing touches to my MFD mod today and finally get round to installing it.
Like a lot of members I'd put the usual 2 blue LEDs in it but in bright sunlight or even just daylight I couldn't see a thing on it, couldn't see the time or the radio station. So I thought I'd tweak it a little and put 10 LEDs in ther instead of the usual 2. Not done a before and after, should have done really but this is what it looks like now, it's very bright, very readable in daylight, even more so at night. As you can see the pics were taken at 15.32 today and you can see how bright it was but even with it unmounted in the cowling it's still very readable.
I also finally got round to fitting my heater control, this has 23 LEDs in it and whilst it's ok I've already thought of a few alterations I'll be making to the Mk2 model. Just the CD player to install now, that's my old CDR500 and is being modded to have blue LEDs showing instead of those awful orange ones, also the RRC controls on the steering wheel are also being converted as we speak. Almost the look I want now, just needs a little tweaking to get rid of some of the bad points.

Full dash as it now looks, night time shot. Not a very good shot but you can see the effect and the new heater control mod. If you look carefully you can see the dimmer dial is down to half
