    888 splitter

Is it possible to buy the 888 front splitter or bodykit from anywhere?

think you need a chasis number to buy from Vauxhall. Failing that keep your eye out in the forum for sale bit, ebay or scrappies

You can get parts of the kit from VX now, but it's a fortune. Also getting the splitter on it's own is complicated, because it won't fit onto your standard wheel arches without getting further work done.

    It's only a bodykit Andy.

They will sell it to anyone, they're a business and want to make £££.

I can see where your coming from with 'its only a bodykit'

But, its a limited run car, something special if you will, therefore they shouldnt sell the bits to none 888 coupe, then you wont get a load of none genuine 888 wannabe's driving around.

Its almost like sticking a turbo badge on an 8v calibra.

It's that expensive, if someone was going to spend that much money on the kit and getting it fitted, they may as well buy a 888. I can't see anyone going for the full kit.

It's no different to fitting a GSI bumper to a non GSI car. It's not necessarily about fooling people into thinking you have something special, it's about putting a bodykit on a car that the owner likes.

The rear bumper is a standard Vx item.

The front bumper was also fitted to all rally spec cars - ie Mk4 OPC1 and associated motorsport pedigree vehicles. (Hatchbacks ironically)

The only special items are the side skirts - which aren't that special if I'm honest, and the rear spoiler - which you could get a 'replica' (of better quality) from somewhere like Halfords/Demon Tweeks for less than Vx charge.

It's the fact your car was assembled by 888 and the combination of all the parts that make an 888 coupe special, not the bodykit.

To be honest it's a very expensive and relativly poor quality body kit for the money you'd have to pay for it.

I think you can do better else where.
Tell me what you've done, not what you're going to!
