    DIY - Fitting Lowering Springs

    Just how hard is it to fit springs assuming one has all the right tools?

    its easy, really easy, just make sure you have the right tools like you say, cant remember of the top of my head what you need, am sure you can manage as long as you have spring clamps

    Just please please please keep safety at the forefront of your mind.

    Support car on sturdy axle stands ..and.. when compressing springs take your time.

    it's gmax 40/40 springs. I will be using spring clamps and doing it with a mate. As Coo says, it's all about safety first though

    don't fancy those bits firing off into my SexyAss face.

    I think I have a set of spring clamps here somewhere.

    Just gotta decide on what springs to go for. Looking forward to your write up domino

    i have just done a set of springs and shocks on my mates mk2 gold and they were easy and we didnt even have a spring clamp, took roughly hour hour each side.

    dunno if they are simular to the astra tho!

    (possibky slighly a pointless post lol)

    You'll need a slim spanner for taking off the front lower part of the strut it's a 17mm I think, it's attached to what looks like an anti roll bar so you'll need both front wheels off the ground to do them easy
