    Remap on a high mileage?

cars clocking up towards 92k now its had a replacement cambelt and water pump around 9 months ago

Is it safe to get a remap hopefully for some more MPG and to get more power out of the unit or are its days numbered anyways and i shouldnt be messing ?

Its fine mate. But you'll obviously be putting the engine under more stress. It just means components that are coming to the end of their servicable life will have their life span shortened slightly. I wouldn't worry about it at all.
