    under car cleaning

    hi im new to the whole detailing thing but after many hours clean and polishing i noticed that the under side of my car is fillthy anyone got any ideas how to clean it? thanks

    I just use a hose (high pressure not pressure washer though). Gets rid of the salt underneath the car. But becareful as dirty as it looks that dirt may be helping the bodywork by saving it from the elements.

    i would say that you can clean the under side of the car
    I am going to do this soon when its a nice day on a saturday at work then
    paint the under side in a wax stuff to keep it nice an clean an also stop rust

    i was going to do this in the summer too, or when its a bit warmer atleast.

    Reckon its worth cleaning, and then painting some of the bits/metal underneath?

    this what i am going to paint the under side with when i have the time an its a nice day
    or i can do it now but cant be arsed do it in work they have a heated garage with heaters in the pits

    i must say that the pits do help a lot but the small set of ramps i got from halfords let me paint the under side of my astra no probs at all

    £15 for the small set for the zaffy "front bumper a bit low for the bigger ramps

    My dad has some big ramps, and one of his neighbours got a Lotus Esprit up on them by laying a 6foot piece of timber onto the top rung of each one, then just drove up it
    0-60 in 6.5 secs and 48mpg- winner!
