    crank grinding

    Hi there, my c20let has recently started knocking, and i was told that its the shels in the bottom end that need replacing. would anyone be able to point me in the right direction of somewhere good that could regrind the crank and fit new shells for me.

    welcome....where are you based ??

    you could certainly try and find automotive engineers....or even ask at places like Partco, Brown Brothers...they may know local places.

    based in wrexham north wales. need somewhere that could do it without splitting the engine really, as i have only just had all the head and gaskets replaced.Can it be done without taking the engine out? its in a mk3 gsi. thanks
