Dont know how to get rid of it, but i have a load of nasty scratches on my windscreen that follow the line of my wipers. Not sure if the wipers have caused them but not sure weather to buy new screen or not.

Anyone got any ideas on a solution other than screen replacement as a new screen is £331.61 from autoglass!

Cutting compound and alot of elbow grease...

There are also alot of more specialist materials used for polishing out scratches on glass (did it on my car windows after scratching the inside with wedding ring and also on my watch where I whacked it against a wall and scratched the glass).

There is also the option of getting a compound for permenantly filling the scratch after cleaning it out, and then polishing (this is how stone chips on glass are repaired by chips away etc).

It should be noted that if the scratch is deep then it won't disappear completely, it will just look less visable if the polishing option is used, and also may not completely disappear if filling either...

Already tried to polish out my nasty scratches but have noticed that they are getting worse again.

Gonna take my car to halfrauds as i brought new wiper blades about a month ago and before i put them on, no scratches! will let you know of the outcome.
