    TC/CC Switch problems

Hi lads n ladies, of recently my TC switch has intermittently stopped working, takes a lot of jabbing to get the message thru that i want TC off!

also my CC has stopped working all together, any ideas what this could be? is there a failsafe or something like that? as I have messed about with it a few times maybe it totally disabled itself?

either that or maybe a fuse or the wiring, im thinking the traction switch is just a wiring problem as the previous owner made a complete bodge of it *cough*

    cheers,
    Jim

if you think its a wiring prob m suggestion is this:

remove the TC loom conpletely from the car...download the how to from here and start from the begining!

easy to understand and only takes an hour!

if its not that then try fuse or a auto mechanic.
The coupe...ITS ALIVE & back from the dead....again!

Surley it would be easier to check the fuse FIRST! Before stripping the lot out! Think they are controlled of the same fuse! IIRC its in slot 24! But chekc ya manual it will tell ya there!

    annoying times...??

any time it comes on are times when your wheels are spinning - wearing down your tyres unnecessarily and causing you to accelerate slower than if you were not wheel spinning.

what sort of situation do you mean??

TC is a real pain in the ass at times.

Some times it will do very little and the car will spin quite freely, other times its so aggressive its like someone has hit the brakes

If your wheels are spinning then it's not working and you should get it looked at! The only time you should notice it not working is on wet grass, snow or ice.
