Anyone know the wheel offset for the VX220?

    Hey Guys,

I am thinking of getting some VX220 alloys for my Astra, but I wanna make sure the offset is the same. I don't wanna end up with some 35 offset alloys again that rub on the rear arches.

Oh so maybe not a good idea putting them onto an Astra.

could fit 2 sets of rears and shouldn't have too much of an issue so long as you're not lowered.

But depending on the sytle rim you pick, you may as well get the SRi Turbo rims off the Astra/Coupe.

Unless your thinking of the VX220 Turbo rims.

Yeayh as mentioned the front rims are very narrow. I do remember seeing a Vectra B fitted with rear rims, it was on a feature for a driving experience company that was in Total Vauxhall

If you all think that 6.5J rims off a VX220 are narrow, have a look at the rim width for 16" Astra SRi wheels, or 15" steelies!!

In actual fact the from rim with is 5.5Jx17 so its even narrower than was indicated.... I knew the SRi rims were 6.5Jx16 but also knoew the VX200 rims were much narrower on the front.

    Wheels Tyres

Standard OEM wheels severely restrict tyre choice and overall handling upgrade routes. The standard front wheel is only 5.5" wide which means that the maximum safe tyre width is only 175mm. Opel also only specced the 17" front rim for aesthetic purposes, the VX220 (like the Elise) was designed around a 16" front wheel for optimum performance - all of our recommended wheel and tyre upgrades reflect this - the VX simply handles better on 16" front wheels.
