    meguiars poorboys or auto glym?

Hopefully if its fine tomorrow im gonna give my car a good wash & wax, and to try and get rid of all the swirl marks its got.
Im so confussed what to buy, cos theres so much choice now!
Ive heard good comments about meguiars scratch x and poorboys natty paste.
What should i buy to get rid of all the swirl marks and to make the paintwork look like glass?
    Cheers Ness

As you say it's personal choice, i only use Auto-glym, have done for years since working as a car valeter for a Honda Dealership, it was all we used and all i've used since, the only different thing i have is a megs claybar as it was cheap and does a good job, have tried the megs trim blacking gel and found it didn't compete with the auto-glym stuff

I used Autoglym for years and am more than happy with the results. I've tried a few meguairs products and none have impressed me to say the least, and were binned forthwith.

These days, I use AutoSmart stuff day to day, then Autoglym for Shows etc.

IMO clay is the biggest fad going at the mo

Super Resin Polish has fillers in it to temp fill the swirls, you will need a machine and cutting compound to remove swirls

Geoff, why do you say clay is a fad?

clay is great on a slightly negelected car. The story goes.... I never bothered washing my motor for about a month or so, and it was a right state. I finally got round to it using autoglym shampoo, Lambs wall mitt and x2 bucket method. Dried with microfibre, the car looked awfull, scratches swirls, I was most upset. Popped out and got myself Megs clay and Lube, Megs Bodywash, Megs 1-2-3 and Tyre cleaner. After washing and drying with the megs, it still look shocking, so i did it again, and again, using the two bucket method. Once happy all the surface contaminants had mostly gone, it was clay bar time. Now the amount of crap that came off of the car was amazing to say the least. I went from a real rough feeling paint to a baby bottoms smooth paint, like when it was new!! I then prep'ed the paint with Megs Crystal stage 1, then 2 but I never used three, I used my own P21's to finish. The results was amazing, most of my swirls had gone, all defects had been filled and It looked show room! I was very very happy. My kit contains AG super resin, Zymol, mer the lot, I was using the super Resin for ages, but I'm giving the Megs ago, I am very happy with the results!!
    Here is the finished job

And then it rained lol, but look at the rain drops on the car.... wierd!
