Price valuation does this sound right?

    Vauxhall Astra Hatchback (98-04)

    2.0i 16V SRi 3d (AC) 1999/V

    Average mileage 70,000 miles

    Original Price£16,070Independent Dealer£3,545Private Good £2,990Private Poor £2,180Part Exchange£2,570

Adjustments need to be made as i have done 90k, i have no service history no old mots or anything which obviously will reduce it further, bought from auction and these had gone missing.

Its black overall condition is good bar a key scratch on bonnet all tyres have good tread and aloloys again are in good condition. interior has no marks stains etc

the only thing that lets the car down is the key mark imo

what do you think i should be asking for my car?

Its dishartening when you see the valuations of your pride and joy. I figure its not worth selling at the moment, Mk3 GSi's hold there value but at one point they were really cheap, so hold onto it for a while longer and you may get a reasonable value, but it depends on what your plans are?

I was in the same position but I figue that mine doesn't owe me anything so I might as well play with it a while longer and do a few extra bits and bobs to it. Mind you mine is only 66K on a 1999 T plate

Another good thing is you can pic up a replacement engine for peanuts. Or you can even buy one new from GM

I would ask £1,995 and take the nearest offer, I just sold my 04 plate with 29k miles SXi for only just over£5k!
if you ask any more I reckon you'll be stuck with it with lower offers anyway.
Have a look on auto-trader and ebay, see what similar cars go for.
    I'm after another Coupe Turbo
